Make friends and discover new screen-free games. On the first and third Mondays of the month.  First Mondays are geared to grades 2-3, third are geared to grades 4-5. Join us for an evening of fun and learning!

Grades 3-5

Participants that sign up for this camp will be automatically registered for all three days. 

400 years.  Slavery.  Jim Crow.  The Civil Rights Movement.  When and how did the collective voices of African America truly unite as one?  Though apparently disparate, these voices came together ultimately through song.

Cool off with the Cary Area Public Library for a splash pad storytime featuring stories, rhymes, music, and movement, followed by the splash pad opening at 10 am!

Come and play Magic the Gathering at the library! Are you an experienced MTG player? Great! Never played before? That's great too, we'll teach you! 

Paper, yarn, straws and lots of color! You can make a garden that will last even when summer is over! Please register for one kit only, thank you. This is for ages 3-6 only.

Grades 3-5

Participants that sign up for this camp will be automatically registered for all three days. 

Ages 3 and up. Wear your pajamas, bring your best stuffed friend, and listen to a story.  Then, tuck your pal into bed and wish them sweet dreams.  Who knows what adventures they will have overnight at the library!

In this class, we will go over Google Drive and some of its apps, such as Docs and Sheets, so that you can take advantage of all the different options available and learn what all it has to offer.

Grades 6-12. Via Zoom. New and Returning players welcome. Come join in on this popular fantasy role-playing game, no experience necessary! Characters will be provided for you to play during the game.

Grades K-5 with caregivers/grownups. Join Science Heroes on our mission to turn science into an adventure!

All ages, kids 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Stop by and create! We will have various craft supplies and inspiration for you to make an art project, craft, structure, or simple machine - whatever you can imagine!

Play video games and board games with other teens! The library has a selection of Nintendo Switch and Wii U games that will be projected on the big screen. Registration preferred, walk-ins welcome.

We will discuss the novel The Women by Kristin Hannah. Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Copies of the book can be checked out at the Service Center a month prior to the discussion.

Miss Jill has a collection of vintage children's books that you might not hear anywhere else. Bring the family for a cozy evening of fun and nostalgia- blankets, pillows, and PJ's encouraged! Best for school age children.

Join Katy as she teaches basic ASL vocabulary to you and your little one. Learning ASL is a great way for babies to learn to communicate their wants and needs with caregivers before gaining the ability to speak.
