Hearts of Darkness: Serial Killers, the Behavioral Science Unit, and My Life as a Woman in the FBI by Jana Monroe
Jana Monroe was the first female FBI agent of the world renowned FBI BSU: The Behavioral Science Unit, located at Quantico. She was the basis for Clarice Starling, the central protagonist of Jonathan Demme's classic crime drama, The Silence of the Lambs adapted from the novel of the same name, by Thomas Harris. In this memoir, Jana will discuss how her life has helped to shape law enforcement, she discusses some of her most infamous cases, and will detail the toll that her position has taken on her mental health.
