Grades 6-12. Via Zoom. New and Returning players welcome. Come join in on this popular fantasy role-playing game, no experience necessary! Characters will be provided for you to play during the game.

Make friends and discover new screen-free games. On the first and third Mondays of the month.  Third Mondays are geared to grades 4-5. Join us for an evening of fun and learning! 

Sweet stories and a charming craft with a focus on nature to fit right in with the seasons! For ages 2-6 only with an adult caregiver. Please register up to two children per family with their name(s). Thank you. 

Grades 4-8th. Come and explore our new coding database Fiero Code! Learn team work, problem solving, and creative thinking all while making friends and creating fun playable games and visual stories. 

Grades 6-12

Design and create the classic and childhood favorite game of tic-tac-toe using perler beads.

Celebrate Earth Month and National Parks Week with an inspiring local story, "Walking Chicago’s Coast: A 63-Mile Journey to the Indiana Dunes"!

Socialize and discuss books with others in their 20s and 30s. Each meeting we discuss a title chosen by the group. If you’re interested in joining or to find out the current title, please email Jessica at jking@caryarealibrary.info.

Master Gardner Dana Garretson will provide a who, what, where, why, when, and how of using plants in our homes. The benefits, functions of space, plant habits and needs, and design ideas are all considered in this survey.

Join Katy as she teaches basic ASL vocabulary to you and your little one. Learning ASL is a great way for babies to learn to communicate their wants and needs with caregivers before gaining the ability to speak.

The Genealogy Interest Group meets on the fourth Sunday of each month, unless otherwise noted.  We welcome any and all interested persons who would like to share their genealogical research or who would like to learn more.  

All ages, kids 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Stop by and create! We will have various craft supplies and inspiration for you to make an art project, craft, structure, or simple machine - whatever you can imagine!

Ages 0-6 with an adult. Stimulate your child's senses through books, rhymes, music, and movement. No registration required.  

Hang out after storytime to play and learn! We have a selection of educational toys that will help with motor skills, sharing, and imaginative play!

Grades 3-5. Join us for a fun evening where you can talk about your favorite graphic novels, discover new ones, meet friends, and have snacks…what could be better?!

Grades 3-5. Did you know that you can make invisible ink messages using baking soda, turmeric, and isopropyl alcohol? Come try out this fun and simple craft!
