Are you interested in the natural world, and all things that grow in the ground? If so, then Jr. Master gardener is the class for you! Come ready to get your hands dirty as we explore the fascinating world of plants.

Grades 3-12. Develop your programming skills with the LEGO SPIKE Prime robots and apply them to various challenges. Each Workshop will have a different lesson and different challenges for you to try out.

Make friends and discover new screen-free games. On the first and third Mondays of the month.  First Mondays are geared to grades 2-3, third are geared to grades 4-5. Join us for an evening of fun and learning! 

This year we are celebrating 75 years of the Cary Area Public Library! During this program, you will have 75 minutes to enjoy several STEAM activities. Grades 1-5

Welcome all LEGO Builders! Create and build your own LEGO design that we'll display in the library! Sign up the child, not the parent for each program.

Clay, paint and and your creativity will make some magic! This program is for grades 4-5 only. Please register only one child per family, with their name. Thank you.

Grades 3-12. Intro to the LEGO SPIKE Prime robot’s hardware and software. You will also learn how to program the robots to move straight and turn. This class is the prerequisite for the Robotics Workshops.

On your mark! Get set! Go! Have fun designing a racetrack for an Ozobot robot. Grades 3-5

Come and play Magic the Gathering at the library! Are you an experienced MTG player? Great! Never played before? That's great too, we'll teach you! 

It’s time to celebrate! The Cary Area Public Library turns 75 this year and you are going to throw a little party! You will make a mug cake, do a science experiment to blow up a balloon and make a party popper! Grades K-5

You think Pickleball is weird?! Try Cycleball! Sepak Takraw! Bartitsu! And even… I hesitate to say it… OK, prepare yourself... Fierljeppen! And we’re drawing them all!

Grades 4-5. Come to this program and create your very own Dungeons and Dragons character! Be prepared to do some creative thinking, reading, and math using copies of our players handbooks.

Come challenge your taste buds and taste over 20 different flavors of jelly beans! See if you can correctly identify each flavor and we’ll find out who is the Jelly Bean tasting Champion!

You will experiment with various objects and liquids (pollutants) to see if they sink or float when in a body of water.

Grades 4-5. Does your child have a big imagination? Work well with others? Enjoy reading and logical thinking? Then come join in on this popular fantasy role-playing game, no experience necessary!

Observing nature is a great way to learn about the natural world around you. You will make and decorate your very own 75 day nature journal to record your observations of nature. What will you discover? Grades K-5
